Payments organisation promotes women in the industry

Payments organisation promotes women in the industry.

Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions focuses on professional development and connecting women in payments.

Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions (W.net), the premier organisation dedicated to women in payments, has partnered with SkyParlour Marketing + PR to bring the newest W.net Local Interest Network Circles (LINC) event to the UK. W.net empowers women and supports the representation of women in the boardroom, conference room and offices throughout the UK and Europe to greater success.

Whether new to the field of payments, an experienced payments professional or considering a career transition, W.net members benefit from unparalleled access to networking, mentoring, events, career development, educational programming and professional resources. In 2015, W.net celebrates its tenth anniversary with celebrations throughout the year. This expansion is an important piece of W.net looking toward its future growth as well as providing a home for women in payments around the world.

W.net’s LINC’s are an opportunity for women to convene and network with other industry professionals in their area, attend leadership development sessions, and make new industry contacts. The London LINC joins LINCs in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York, Northern California, Omaha, Phoenix, Southern California, Southwest Texas, and Washington, DC.

“As our industry expands globally, it is important for W.net to reach women around the world,” says Linda Rossetti, W.net 2015 president and president of Bluestone Payments.

“Our goal is to connect women in the UK to each other as well as their counterparts in the United States” adds Rossetti.

Commenting on the official UK launch of W.net, Co-Founder at SkyParlour, Angela Yore, said:

“After working in the payments industry for over 20 years we wanted to encourage other women to maximise their individual potential and position themselves for greater personal success.”

Kimberley Waldron, also Co-Founder at SkyParlour, added:

“We want to bring all levels of women together by staging the first UK W.net LINC event. The overall aim is to set a standard of equal representation for women in the payments industry. The goal is to drive camaraderie and opportunities through discussion, career development and high quality networking.”
